Police Arrest Key Suspect in Peshawar Acid-Throwing Incident

Peshawar: Local police have arrested a suspect in connection with an acid-throwing incident that occurred in the Industrial State Area (Karkhano Market) of Peshawar.

The arrested individual is the driver of the survivor’s ex-husband, who has already been nominated in the FIR.

The suspect, identified as Tariq, was apprehended during a targeted operation led by a special team.

This team was formed under the supervision of SP (Cantt Division) Waqas Rafiq and included ASP (Town Circle) Nazish Shahzadi and SHO Town police station Bilal Khan.

The operation also led to the seizure of the motorcycle used in the incident.

The police revealed that the arrest of Tariq marks a significant breakthrough in the case. Additional arrests are expected as the investigation continues.

The incident, which took place last Saturday, has sparked widespread outrage and calls for swift justice against those responsible.
