Petrol Prices Increased by Rs7.45 Per Liter, Diesel Rs 9.56

Islamabad: The government announced an increase in the prices of Motor Spirit (MS) Petrol by Rs7.45 per liter and High-Speed Diesel by Rs9.56 per liter.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Finance, the new price of MS petrol will be Rs 265.61 per liter, up from Rs 258.16 per liter previously.

Meanwhile, High-Speed Diesel will now cost Rs277.45 per liter, compared to its previous price of Rs 267.89 per liter, effective from July 1, 2024.

The press release attributed the price hikes to a rising trend in international petroleum markets over the past fortnight.

The Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) calculated the new consumer prices based on these international market variations.

It clarified that there will be no changes in applicable taxes and duties, which will remain unchanged.
