Blistering Heat Wave Sweeps Across Pakistan

Islamabad: The heat is at its peak in most plains of the country, with the Meteorological Department predicting temperatures in Sindh to reach up to 47 degrees today (Monday).

According to the Meteorological Department, the mercury in several cities of Punjab and Sindh will remain between 42 and 46 degrees, while in Jacobabad and Sukkur, temperatures are forecasted to be 47 degrees.

 In Lahore, temperatures will reach 45 degrees, in Peshawar 42 degrees, in Islamabad 40 degrees, and in Quetta 38 degrees Celsius.

Additionally, after a very hot day, there is a possibility of thunderstorms and rain in various parts of Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Balochistan, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan in the evening or at night, according to the Meteorological Department.

Furthermore, rain is expected in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Rajanpur, Dera Ismail Khan, Peshawar, Swat, Tharparkar, Mirpur Khas, and Hyderabad.
