CDA Cracks Down on Illegal Constructions: 25 Buildings Sealed
News Desk
Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority took decisive action on Friday by sealing 25 illegal buildings and issuing a warning to a private housing society.
These operations targeted illegal constructions, encroachments, unauthorized housing societies, and violations of building bylaws citywide.
Significant measures were taken against layout plan (LOP) violations in Jinnah Garden Extension, where all roads, including entrances built beyond the approved LOP, were dismantled, according to a news release.
The CDA administration has cautioned the Jinnah Garden management to cease construction activities beyond the authorized LOP.
The management has assured compliance by promising to secure the necessary permissions and pay the regular fee by Monday.
Additionally, the Building Control Department sealed 25 buildings in Sawan Garden Housing Society due to breaches of the Building Control and Regulation 2020.
It is noteworthy that these sealed buildings were erected in violation of the said regulations.
Chairman CDA Chaudhary Muhammad Ali Randhawa affirmed that the CDA’s crackdown on illegal constructions and encroachments will persist in the coming days.
