‘All My Assets Declared’

Lahore: Interior Minister and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi assured in a press conference that he had diligently declared all his assets.
He explained that his wife’s property in Dubai, acquired in 2017 and sold last year, was among them, alongside a property in London.
Naqvi emphasized that he hadn’t held any governmental position in the past decade, implying that the acquisition of these assets should not raise concerns.
Dismissing allegations of illegitimate acquisition, he stated, “I came with a vision, but it’s being portrayed as if these assets came through illegal means.”
He perceived a hidden agenda behind the selective release of information, especially regarding the Dubai leaks, noting that many Pakistanis owned properties there.
Responding to inquiries, Naqvi expressed faith in constitutional processes, following a meeting with KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
Regarding recent protests in Azad Kashmir, he labeled it as an internal matter and hinted at possible foreign involvement in the recent violent incidents. On administrative matters, Naqvi acknowledged delays in passport issuance, citing a wait time of five to six months.
He disclosed ongoing discussions with police officials in the Katcha area regarding security operations and planned a meeting with the Punjab chief minister. Furthermore, he confirmed communication with the Inspector General of Islamabad regarding the disappearance of a journalist in the capital.
