Khawaja Asif Decries Property Leaks as Recycled Drama

Islamabad: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has drawn parallels between the Panama Leaks and the recent Property Leaks, stating that the latter mirrors the former in its revelations.

In his remarks, Asif highlighted that despite Nawaz Sharif’s lack of involvement in the Panama scandal, he found himself under scrutiny.

Addressing the latest disclosures in the Property Leaks, the Defense Minister questioned the novelty of the information, noting that figures like Pervez Musharraf, Shaukat Aziz, and Faisal Vawda had been previously implicated.

Asif dismissed the significance of the purported revelations, likening them to a recycled movie plot. He queried whether the narrative, characters, and names remain unchanged, suggesting that the development serves as a diversion from more pressing matters.

Furthermore, he alleged that the financing of these revelations originates from familiar sources, implying ulterior motives behind their emergence. Asif anticipated that as investigations progress, more substantial revelations may come to the forefront.
