Babar Azam Tops T20 Captaincy Wins with Historic 45th Victory

Islamabad: Babar Azam, the captain of the national cricket team, has clinched the title of the T20 International captain with the highest number of wins.
Pakistan’s triumph over Ireland in the second T20 match in Dublin yesterday (Sunday) marked Babar Azam’s 45th victory as captain.
Earlier, England’s Morgan had secured triumph in 44 matches as captain. Uganda’s Brian Masaba also attained success in 44 matches as captain, whereas Afghanistan’s Asghar Afghan secured victories in 42 matches as captain.
PCB Chairman Commends Feats
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi extended congratulations to national cricket team captain Babar Azam and fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi for achieving a significant milestone.
Naqvi presented a commemorative shirt to Babar Azam in recognition of his captaincy, having secured 45 victories in T20 matches.
Additionally, the PCB Chairman honored Shaheen Shah Afridi with a shirt for reaching the milestone of 300 wickets in international cricket.
It’s worth mentioning that the national team is presently engaged in the T20 series against Ireland ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup.
Shaheen’s 300 Wickets
Pakistan’s renowned fast bowler, Shaheen Afridi, has reached the landmark of 300 wickets in international cricket.
This achievement came during the second T20 match against Ireland. Shaheen Afridi accomplished this feat across 145 international appearances.
His tally includes 113 wickets in Test cricket and 104 in One Day Internationals. Additionally, he has claimed 84 wickets in T20 Internationals.
