Rupee Edges Up Against US Dollar, Closes at Rs 278.12

Islamabad: The Pakistani Rupee strengthened by 08 paisa against the US dollar in interbank trading, closing at Rs 278.12 compared to the previous day’s Rs 278.20 on Friday.

As per the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the open market rates for the dollar were Rs 277.10 for buying and Rs 279.60 for selling.

According to the latest data from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Euro rose by Rs 1.31 to reach Rs 299.93 from its previous rate of Rs 298.62.

The Japanese Yen remained stable at Rs 1.78, while the British Pound saw an increase of Rs 1.48, trading at Rs 348.59 compared to the previous Rs 347.11.

The Emirates Dirham decreased by 03 paisa, and the Saudi Riyal went down by 2 paisa, trading at Rs 75.72 and Rs 74.15 respectively.
