CDA Under Fire: Mustafa Unhappy with Maintenance of Lodges

Islamabad: Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, emphasized the importance of upholding austerity and quality standards in the maintenance of Parliament lodges and hostels for Members of the National Assembly (MNAs).
Mustafa Shah underscored the necessity of utilizing public funds effectively, ensuring long-term utility and durability. These remarks were made during his meeting with senior officers of the Capital Development Authority (CDA).
Expressing disappointment over the lack of cleanliness and inadequate maintenance in Parliament Lodges and MNAs hostels, Ghulam Mustafa directed attention towards the issues of allotments. He instructed the formulation of a uniform and efficient policy to streamline allotments and maintenance procedures for Parliament Lodges.
Furthermore, Mustafa Shah emphasized the importance of adhering to consistent standards in maintaining Parliament lodges to optimize the use of public funds. He directed the CDA to prioritize quality standards to ensure durability and efficient expenditure of public money.
The meeting witnessed the participation of senior officers from both the CDA and the National Assembly Secretariat.
