Rawalpindi: The Secret Service has initiated an inquiry into the deaths of three inmates at Adiala Jail, along with allegations of corruption and bribery involving a Deputy Superintendent.

According to reliable sources, the Chief Minister of Punjab has requested a report on the situation at Adiala Jail.

The Additional Inspector General of Police, Special Branch Punjab, has been tasked with investigating the matter.

An anonymous petition received by the Chief Minister highlights the unusual spike in prisoner deaths at Adiala Jail over the past three months, indicating possible incompetence among jail officials.

The Deputy Superintendent, who holds significant political influence, has been stationed at the jail for the past 15 years.

Furthermore, it’s alleged that the Deputy Superintendent and a prisoner are implicated in certain cases.

In addition to the recent deaths, sources reveal that 19 prisoners have died in Adiala Jail in the past six months.

This alarming trend underscores the urgency of addressing issues within the jail system.
