Pakistan Mourns Qavi Khan’s First Death Anniversary

Islamabad: The first death anniversary of veteran actor Qavi Khan was observed on Tuesday. Born on November 13, 1942, in Peshawar, Khan began his career as a child star on Radio Pakistan Peshawar.

In 1964, he joined Pakistan Television, becoming one of its early stars. He made his professional debut with the play “Lakhon Mein Aik”, while “Andhera Ujala” brought him widespread fame across Pakistan.

In 1965, Khan ventured into the film industry, starring in movies like “Mauhabat Zindagi Hai”, “Chand Suraj”, “Sarfarosh”, “Kalay Chor”, and “Zameen Asman”.

In acknowledgment of his contributions to the country and the entertainment industry, the government honored him with the Pride of Performance and Sitara-i-Imtiaz awards.

Qavi Khan was remembered on his first death anniversary for his remarkable career and contributions to Pakistani entertainment.
