Mainly Cold, Partly Cloudy Weather in Pakistan

Islamabad: Mainly cold and partly cloudy weather is expected in most parts of the country for the next 24 hours.

Rain, wind, and thunderstorms, with snowfall in hilly regions, is expected across Balochistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and adjacent areas.

In some areas, particularly northern and southwestern Balochistan, may experience isolated heavy rainfall. A shallow westerly trough is currently present in the northern regions, while a new westerly wave is anticipated to enter Balochistan by the evening of the 25th, potentially affecting the upper parts of the country by the 26th.

Cold and partly cloudy conditions are forecasted for most regions, with the likelihood of rain, wind, thunderstorms, and snowfall in hilly areas of Balochistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, the Photohar region, Kashmir, and nearby hilly regions. Some areas in northern and southwestern Balochistan may experience heavy rainfall during this period.

The prevailing weather has been cold and dry across most of the country, with particularly cold and partly cloudy conditions observed in northern regions. Rainfall has been recorded in Malam Jabba at 05mm, with snowfall measuring 02 inches.

Recorded lowest minimum temperatures today were: Leh at -14°C, Kalam at -12°C, Astore at -09°C, Malam Jabba at -06°C, Skardu, Gupis, and Hunza at -05°C, Bagrote at -04°C, and Rawalakot, Gilgit, and Dir at -03°C.
