Survivor of Domestic Abuse Rizwana Readmitted to LGH

Islamabad: Rizwana, a survivor of domestic violence hailing from Sargodha but currently residing in Islamabad, has been readmitted to Lahore General Hospital (LGH).

This time, apart from addressing the alignment issues in her arms, medical professionals will also examine her facial and head injuries.

Professor Farid Al-Zafar, the principal of Lahore General Hospital, has stated that a medical board will oversee Rizwana’s examination tomorrow (Wednesday). He further elaborated that the board will deliberate on whether Rizwana should be admitted for arm surgery immediately or at a later time.

Rizwana’s ordeal began in July last year when she was brought to the hospital following allegations of inhumane torture inflicted upon her by an Islamabad civil judge, along with his wife and others who employed her at their residence.
