DI Khan: Damaan TV stands as the premier and initial registered digital media news platform in the southern districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, including the DI Khan Division.

Boasting over half a million digital media followers, it has additionally garnered acclaim in southern Punjab. Operating under Damaan Media Production (Private) Limited, Damaan Media Network is a duly registered entity with SECP and IP Pakistan, remaining an active institution since February 2017.

With over five hundred thousand digital media followers, it has also gained popularity in southern Punjab.

Damaan TV is actively engaged in the promotion and preservation of cultural heritage, addressing issues of marginalised communities, advocating for women’s and special individuals’ rights, and raising awareness about climate change, tourism, and the rights of women and special individuals.

The media platform has partnered with the Tourism Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for various projects, serving as a media collaborator for initiatives like the Sheikh Badin National Park, among others.

The presence of Damaan TV on popular social media platforms alongside its website has garnered significant public appreciation. With almost five hundred thousand followers on its Facebook page and around twenty thousand subscribers on its YouTube channel, which has been monetized for the past three years, Damaan TV has a considerable following on platforms like TikTok, Twitter, its website, and Instagram.

Damaan TV, through its Media Studies internship programme, launched in 2017 by degree-holding journalists, aims to promote independent journalism and ensure access to information in remote areas and desert regions.

Damaan TV has provided practical journalism training to individuals, leading to successful employment in the government sector, including women graduates. Notably, Damaan TV has taken the lead in introducing digital media to the seven women of Dera Ismail Khan in the field of digital media, including burqa-clad journalists and lady TV anchors associated with various platforms.

Damaan TV boasts a team of seventy-three individuals, including salaried employees, freelancers, and interns, proficient in multimedia production, documentaries, blogs, promos, digital stories, news packages, interviews, and live coverage.

The team comprises digital media content writers, social media analysts, online researchers, SEO specialists, social media marketing heads, video editors, graphic designers, accountants, camerapersons, reporters, bloggers, HR managers, directors, producers, researchers, copywriters, copy editors, anchors, voice artists, reporters, and office assistants.

Damaan TV has earned public trust by continuously addressing women’s issues and rights, highlighting the problems faced by Khwaja Sirais and special individuals, and advocating against sexual harassment at Gomal University through its electronic and print media.

Moreover, Damaan TV has provided services to the Sahar Organisation, working for the past twenty years for disabled individuals, by organising and facilitating media partnerships and providing assistance for acquiring separate premises and building construction.

Similarly, Damaan TV has collaborated with the Archaeology Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to revive and preserve the cultural heritage of Dera Ismail Khan, which had been either usurped by land mafias or near extinction due to neglect.

It has also contributed to promoting tourism and cultural sports in the region. Damaan TV’s standard coverage has not only served Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa but has also been appreciated by the Punjab government for organizing festivals held in the province.

Damaan TV, along with the district administration, uses its credibility to promote public awareness campaigns on any issue or matter in southern districts and southern Punjab, including Mianwali, Bhakkar, and Layyah, thereby extending its scope and outreach beyond DI Khan to the southern districts of KP and Punjab.
