Islamabad: Renowned singer Ali Zafar, who faced a career setback in 2018 due to harassment allegations by fellow singer Misha Shafi, has overcome the challenges. Initially not chosen to sing the PSL anthem again, he now gears up to contribute to PSL Season 9.
Ali Zafar is making a comeback in the upcoming 9th season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) after an absence of nearly five years.
As the countdown to PSL Season 9 intensifies, cricket enthusiasts eagerly await the anthem that sets the stage for the tournament. Confirming his return on the social platform X, Ali Zafar addressed previous speculation about him collaborating with Aima Baig for the PSL 9 anthem.
Exciting fans, Ali recently shared the lyrics for the league’s anthem.

The PSL Franchise League on X shared a video featuring the superstar singer, where he passionately sang the tune of his previous PSL anthem, “Ab Khel Jame Ga”. The caption revealed, “Siti To Bhakti Ge”, signifying Ali Zafar’s readiness to cast his magic on the official PSL anthem.
Ali, who last sang the PSL anthem in 2018, has delivered three anthems in total, all of which gained significant popularity.
Zafar, known for composing and performing the inaugural PSL anthem “Ab Khel Ke Dakha” in 2016, followed it up with “Ab Khel Jame Ga” for the second season in 2017. He continued to captivate fans with “Dil Se Jaan Laga De” in the 2018 season.
