Multan: Over 8 million individuals are registered to vote in the upcoming February 8 elections, covering the division that includes Multan, Vehari, Khanewal, and Lodhran districts, an official source revealed.
The local election commission office provided statistics indicating a total of 8,097,259 registered voters for the general elections.
Breaking down the figures, district-wise, Multan has 3,110,191 registered voters, with 1,640,497 (52.75%) being male and 1,469,694 (47.25%) female.
In Vehari, the total number of registered voters is 1,929,211, with 1,048,074 (54.33%) males and 881,137 (45.67%) females.
District Khanewal has 1,942,633 registered voters, with 1,043,272 (53.10%) males and 899,361 (46.30%) females.
Lodhran District accounts for a total population of approximately 1,115,224, with 597,961 (53.62%) males and 517,263 (46.38%) females.
Regional Election Commissioner Ch Nadeem Qasim emphasized that meticulous tracking of voter registration statistics is being maintained across the region.
He assured that all registrations adhere to a carefully established procedure outlined by the Election Commission of Pakistan.
