Islamabad: General Secretariat of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has expressed deep concern regarding inauguration of the “Ram Temple” on the site where Babri Mosque in Indian city of Ayodhya was previously demolished.
In alignment with the OIC’s established position articulated by the Council of Foreign Ministers in prior sessions, the General Secretariat strongly condemns these actions aimed at erasing the historical significance of the Babri Mosque, which had stood for five centuries in its original location.
In a statement issued by the OIC General Secretariat, it underscores the denouncement of these actions as an attempt to eliminate the Islamic heritage embodied by the Babri Mosque.
The mosque had been a prominent landmark with a centuries-old legacy, and the OIC expresses its disapproval of any efforts to alter or erase such historical and cultural symbols.
