Islamabad: In a poignant voice note circulating on TikTok, the late seasoned actor Khalid Butt reveals the harrowing details of his health struggles to his grandson, expressing gratitude and concern.
The brilliant actor shares, “Thank you Zahid sahib. I don’t know how to tell you. I can’t even go to the washroom. I can’t even speak. My liver will be transplanted, it has almost stopped functioning. Doctors have recommended a liver transplant; this is final. Tomorrow, I will go to the PKLI (with my reports), where they do liver & kidney transplantation.”
“My stomach has also become so weaker. I am dealing with multiple health issues. Please pray for my health. I was in Gilgit for the shooting of my drama, they sent me home for 8 days, now I am back in Gilgit.” Khalid Butt, a revered figure in Pakistani entertainment, sends love and prayers to his kids.
Khalid Butt, a luminary in Pakistani television, film, and theater from Punjab, initiated his career in 1970 as an assistant director of films. Transitioning to acting in 1978, he gained fame with his lead role in his first serial.
Renowned for stellar performances in dramas such as “Boota from Toba Tek Singh,” “Dillagi,” and recent hits like “Jeevan Nagar” & “Khaie,” he left an indelible mark on the entertainment industry.
Tragically, on January 11, 2024, Khalid Butt passed away in Lahore, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be remembered.
