Pakistani Women Hold a Higher Status Than Western women

Islamabad: Pakistani women have better status than women in the West, said Ahmed Ali Butt’s wife, Fatima Khan, during an interview and a talk show appearance.
She was expressing her perspective on the status of women in Pakistan compared to those in the West. She highlighted certain advantages for women in Pakistani society while acknowledging existing gender disparities and challenges.
Fatima Khan, a politically aware woman who was part of successful sitcoms in the past, chose to step away from acting to focus on raising her son, Azaan. She is known for her outspoken nature and advocacy for the oppressed.
Fatima mentioned that despite cultural differences, there are aspects of Pakistan where women enjoy advantages, such as having domestic help even in smaller households and receiving special respect and consideration in social settings. Her claim about women in Pakistan being in a better position might have surprised some of her English friends, who admired certain aspects of life for women in Pakistan.
