AIOU VC Plans To Build Employee Welfare Foundation

Islamabad: The Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) Vice Chancellor, Prof Nasir Mahmood announced plans to organise training workshops to develop faculty and establish a foundation for employee welfare.

After assuming the charge of office, Dr Nasir assured that increasing student facilities and enrolment, faculty development, promotion of research culture,, and welfare of employees are priorities.

During a welcome reception of the principal officers , he underscored the need to revise the current curriculum and add new courses to meet the requirements of the modern job market.

Dr Nasir also emphasised the importance of establishing new departments to cater to the students’ evolving needs. “We will work together to strengthen the university financially,” he added.

VC shared his vision and roadmap for the university’s development over the next four years and emphasised increasing enrolment by reaching out to remote areas of the country.

Moreover, a web-based app of bilingual proverbs and idioms, as well as the Golden Jubilee logo of AIOU, was also launched on the occasion.
