Islamabad: The caretaker Sindh government on Thursday moved an appeal to the Supreme Court against the Supreme Court’s October 23 judgement for the termination of civilians’ trials in army court.

The Sindh Advocate General filed the appeal on behalf of the provincial government which stated that the trials of accused involved in attacks on army assets should be conducted in army courts.

It prayed the court to restore the terminated clauses of the Army Act and the Official Secrets Act.

It also prayed for the court to suspend the judgement until the final verdict in the appeal.
