Beijing: A magnitude-7.1 quake rattled the Banda Sea at 12:52 p.m. (Beijing Time), informed the China Earthquake Networks Centre (CENC).

The epicentre was monitored at 6.55 degrees south latitude and 129.45 degrees east longitude, at a depth of 10 km, stated CENC.
