Welfare Of Christians Is Our Top Priority, says KP Governor

Peshawar: Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Haji Ghulam Ali remarked that the Christian community has always played a significant role in the province’s development, and their welfare and uplift are top priorities of the government.

The governor shared his remarks at the inauguration of a road inside St John’s Cathedral Church in Peshawar cantonment on Friday, which was completed at a cost of over Rs 7 million.

Our relations with the Christian community are based on respect and the minority communities settled in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) are highly respectable for others, Haji Ghulam stated.

Haji Ali maintained that the constitution of Pakistan has ensured protection of the personal and religious rights of all minorities. It is our duty to stand with the state of Pakistan and to serve it with the best of our abilities and professional commitment, he added.
