Rawalpindi CPO Make Surprise Visits To Police Stations, Pickets

Rawalpindi: City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Syed Khalid Hamdani paid a surprise visit to four police stations and pickets, where he instructed police officers and field staff to perform their duties diligently.
Hamdani visited the Rawalpindi, Gungmandi, Rattaamral, and Pirwadhai police stations and inspected front desks, records, lockups and buildings.
The prime responsibility of police is to control crime, the CPO said, instructing police officers to make all-out efforts to net the criminals.
Syed Khalid directed the station house officers to formulate an effective strategy to make police patrolling more effective. Meanwhile, he directed the police officers to improve service delivery at the police station level.
Ongoing operations against proclaimed offenders, court absconders, drug peddlers and other lawbreakers should be accelerated, Syed further instructed, adding that delay in registration of FIRs would not be tolerated.
CPO Khalid ordered the officials to take effective measures to protect the lives and property of the citizens and facilitate them, besides taking all possible steps to provide relief to the citizens.
Hamdani added that all-out efforts should be made to resolve the residents’ complaints at the police station level.
