Capital To Initiate Digitisation Of Healthcare System

Islamabad: Ministry of Health Caretaker Federal Minister Dr Nadeem Jan announced the government intends to enhance the facilities at Basic Health Units in the federal capital and embark on a digitisation initiative for the healthcare system.
Health Minister also informed that the government has planned to further improve the waste management system in the federal capital which generates 5,000 kg of hospital waste.
Addressing the launching ceremony of the environment-friendly incinerator at Karpa on Monday, Dr Jan stated that our job is to provide the best health facilities to the people with the available resources. If the health system is better, the health of the people will be better, he added.
Pakistan is facing many challenges, like floods and climate change; therefore, the primary health care system needs to be strengthened, Dr Nadeem said.
Caretaker Minister further told that the national health card authorities have been asked to have one system for all.
We want to eradicate polio from Pakistan, he said, adding that three rounds of the polio vaccination drive will be completed by December. APP
