Punjab Reports 121 New Dengue Cases

Lahore: The number of dengue fever cases in Punjab has risen alarmingly in the last 24 hours, with roughly 121 newly confirmed cases recorded.
Health department’s latest update on Thursday revealed that there have been a total of 3,153 confirmed dengue cases across the 36 districts in Punjab this year.
Among these cases, Lahore has the highest count with 1,266 cases, while Rawalpindi, Multan, Faisalabad, and Gujranwala have reported 761, 392, 161, and 132 cases, respectively.
In the last 24 hours, Lahore reported 41 new dengue cases, Rawalpindi 29, Multan 28, Faisalabad 5, Gujranwala 5, Sheikhupura 3, and Mandi Bahauddin recorded 2. Additionally, Muzaffargarh, Sahiwal, Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalnagar, Pakpattan, Khanewal, Vehari, and Chakwal each reported a new case.
Currently, 113 dengue patients are receiving treatment in various hospitals throughout Punjab, with 36 of them in Lahore district.
Secretary of Health Punjab Ali Jaan Khan appealed to residents to maintain cleanliness and dry surroundings as a preventive measure against dengue fever. Jaan further urged them to cooperate with health department teams in their efforts.
