Lahore: Government College University Lahore (GCUL) Vice Chancellor Prof. Asghar Zaidi urged students to deeply understand their own worth and advised against hastily accepting every job offer that came their way.

Speaking at the Career Fair 2023, Dr Zaidi encouraged them to invest time in critical thinking and reflect before making such a significant decision that will shape their professional journeys.

The Career Fair 2023 took place on Thursday at GCUL to provide students with a platform to interact with prospective employers and discover exciting internship and job opportunities.

Vice Chancellor stressed the importance of thoughtful decision-making for graduating students when it comes to choosing their future career paths.

The main focus of the fair was to help students form strong partnerships with leading companies and organisations, including software houses and banks. Recruiters from these 50 companies actively interacted with students, with the common objective of developing their skills to become highly sought-after candidates in fields like digital marketing, artificial intelligence, e-commerce, and more.

These participating companies also offered valuable training opportunities in both technical and non-technical domains, which could land students permanent jobs.
