6.4-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Papua New Guinea

Sydney:A 6.4-magnitude earthquake struck 57 km south of Panguna, Papua New Guinea, at 06:13:34 local time (20:13:34 GMT on Sunday), according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).

The quake occurred at a depth of 41.0 km, with the epicenter located at 6.839 degrees south latitude and 155.517 degrees east longitude.

There is currently no tsunami warning issued by the US Tsunami Warning System. Authorities have not reported any immediate #casualties or damage.
