6.2-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Northern Egypt

Cairo: A 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck Marsa Matruh in northern Egypt on Sunday.

According to the Egyptian National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics, the quake’s epicenter was located 877 km north of Marsa Matruh at a depth of 10.9 km.

No casualties or damage have been reported so far.
