577 Pilgrims Succumb to Heat During Hajj

Islamabad: At least 577 pilgrims died in Makkah due to heat during Hajj 2024.  According to a foreign news agency, 323 of the pilgrims who died due to heat are from Egypt.

Additionally, 60 pilgrims from Jordan and 35 from Tunisia have also died due to the extreme heat.

Reports indicate that 144 pilgrims from Indonesia, 11 from Iran, and 3 from Senegal also lost their lives during Hajj. 

It should be noted that on Monday, the temperature in Makkah was recorded up to 51.8 degrees Celsius.
