560 Graduates Receive Degrees at NUST Convocation

Islamabad: The National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (E&ME) awarded degrees to 560 graduates during its convocation ceremony held in Rawalpindi.
The event was graced by Major General Atique Ahmed, HI (M), Director General Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (DG EME), who attended as the chief guest. A large number of faculty members, students, and parents were also present on the occasion, said a press release issued on Friday.
Degrees were conferred upon undergraduate, MS, and PhD students in the disciplines of Electrical, Mechanical, Computer & Software, Mechatronics Engineering, Engineering Management, and Applied Mathematics.
Addressing the gathering, the chief guest congratulated the graduating students and commended the college for maintaining high academic and research standards.

He praised E&ME for its strong emphasis on research and development and for ensuring that its engineering programmes remain accredited under the Washington Accord — a benchmark for international quality in engineering education.
Major General Atique Ahmed urged the graduates to apply their skills and knowledge to serve society with dedication and integrity. “You now carry the responsibility to translate your learning into actions that make a positive difference in the lives of others,” he remarked.
The ceremony also featured the presentation of President’s Gold Medals to top-performing students, while faculty members and staff were recognized for their contributions to teaching and research excellence.
