5 Killed, 11 Injured as Vehicle Plunges into Ravine in Haripur

Haripur: At least five passengers were killed and 11 others injured in a devastating incident late last night near Chekai area of Haripur.
A Toyota Hiace en route to Islamabad Airport veered off Chhapper Road and plunged into a 200-foot deep ravine. As a result, five passengers were on the spot, including children and women, and left 11 others injured.
Rescue 1122, police, and locals responded, rescuing the injured from the gorge and recovering the bodies. They were shifted to Trauma Centre Haripur.
Local authorities are urging drivers to exercise caution on Chhapper Road, especially during nighttime travel, emphasizing the importance of road safety to prevent such heartbreaking accidents in the future.
Federal Minister for Interior, Mohsin Naqvi, has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the Haripur car accident.
The Interior Minister extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
