Beijing: A magnitude-5.6 earthquake jolted Tonga at 0302 GMT on Friday, informed the U.S. Geological Survey.

The epicentre, with a depth of 35 km, was initially determined to be at 17.58 degrees south latitude and 173.77 degrees west longitude.
