5.5-magnitude earthquake strikes Iran

Berlin: An earthquake measuring 5.5 magnitude struck southern Iran at 03:43 GMT on Thursday, according to the GFZ German Research Centre for Geo-sciences.

The epicentre was initially recorded at a depth of 10 kilometres, located at 27.36 degrees north latitude and 52.60 degrees east longitude, according to the centre.
