44 Candidates Contesting for NA-52 Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi: A total of 44 candidates, comprising 28 independents, are set to compete in the upcoming general elections slated for February 8 in Rawalpindi Division.
For the division, the registered voter count stands at 666,216 individuals, with 341,743 males and 324,473 females exercising their right to franchise.
The divisional administration has concluded all preparations for the elections, and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released a polling scheme for NA-52 constituency.
Rawalpindi district administration, on the directive of Commissioner, Rawalpindi Division, Liaquat Ali Chatta, had finalised administrative measures, including security arrangements, to maintain law and order.
A total of 541 polling stations will be established for the Rawalpindi-I, NA-52 constituency, with 169 designated for male voters, 169 for female voters, and 203 for combined use. Within these stations, there will be a collective total of 1,336 polling booths.
As outlined in the NA-52 polling scheme, there are 541 presiding officers, 2,672 assistant presiding officers, and 1,877 polling officers and assistants.
The Commissioner has instructed the relevant authorities to ensure the completion of all arrangements for the general elections in accordance with the code of conduct issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
Chatta has emphasized the strict implementation of the ECP’s code of conduct and urged the provision of all necessary facilities to voters, with close monitoring of all activities.
All possible facilities should be provided to the voters, and all activities should be strictly monitored. Special security arrangements should be finalized for sensitive polling stations, he directed.
