4000 Police Deployed in Rawalpindi for Protest Security

Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi district police are set to deploy 4,000 personnel to maintain law and order during a potential protest by a political party, according to City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani.

The announcement came Thursday as part of the city’s heightened security measures.

Police forces will be stationed at all entry and exit points, as well as along major roads, to prevent disruptions.

Special trained squads will also be on standby to handle any individuals attempting to disturb the peace. The CPO emphasized that strict legal action will be taken against anyone violating the rules.
