40 Smuggled Mobile Phones Seized at Lahore Airport

Lahore: Customs officials at Lahore Airport intercepted a passenger arriving from Sharjah and recovered 40 high-value mobile phones.
The operation, led by Deputy Collector Customs Dr Mudassar Rafique, was carried out with the assistance of Superintendent Shahid Ali and Inspectors Mehak Fayyaz and Muhammad Azhar.
The accused passenger, identified as Bilal, attempted to smuggle the phones into Pakistan via a local airline. The estimated value of the seized phones exceeds Rs10 million.
A case has been registered against the passenger, and an investigation is underway. Customs authorities reiterated their commitment to curbing smuggling activities and ensuring compliance with the law.
