3-Member Female Gang Held in Rawalpindi for Purse Thefts

Rawalpindi: Kallar Syedan Police have arrested a three-member female gang allegedly involved in stealing purses and valuables from women in local markets.

Police said the suspects were apprehended following multiple complaints from citizens reporting a rise in pickpocketing and thefts in shopping malls and busy market areas. During the operation, Rs 9,000 in stolen cash was recovered, reportedly taken from a female shopper.

SP Saddar Muhammad Nabil Khokhar commended the Kallar Syedan Police team for their vigilance and timely action. He confirmed that the suspects are habitual offenders with prior records of similar crimes.

“This gang had been targeting unsuspecting women shoppers, especially in crowded marketplaces and malls. The accused will be presented before the court, and strict action will be taken according to the law,” he added.
