3 Killed, 35 Injured, Zardari, Bugti Condemn Kech Blast

Islamabad: A remote-controlled explosion targeting a passenger bus in the Kech district of Balochistan claimed the lives of at least three people and left 35 others injured.
The attack, which occurred near Turbat city, also damaged the vehicle of the Superintendent of Police (SP) Kech, according to police sources. Among the injured were five police personnel.
The bus was reportedly carrying security personnel when it was targeted. Rescue teams promptly shifted the injured to nearby hospitals for treatment, while security forces cordoned off the area to launch an investigation.
President Asif Ali Zardari condemned the attack, expressing deep sorrow over the loss of lives. In his statement, he conveyed condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
The President reiterated the government’s resolve to continue operations against terrorism until it is fully eradicated.
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti also strongly condemned the incident. Terming the perpetrators as inhumane, he expressed profound grief and solidarity with the victims’ families.
He assured that the provincial government would spare no effort to bring the culprits to justice and prayed for the swift recovery of those injured.
This tragic incident highlights the persistent security challenges in the region, prompting renewed calls for stringent measures to combat terrorism.
