2nd Phase of Tirich Mir Trekking Expedition Kicks Off from Chitral

Peshawar: The second phase of the Tirich Mir trekking expedition has commenced from Chitral, with a group of 20 trekkers heading towards the Tirich Mir base camp.

The expedition is following the scenic route from Chitral via Moroi, Koghzi, and Reshun to reach Gulgari Pakhturi, where the group is scheduled to spend the night. The following day, the trekkers will continue from Oveer Shabroonz and camp at Shokhorshal before reaching the Tirich Mir base camp.

The trekking initiative, organized in collaboration with local clubs and authorities, aims to boost tourism in the region.

Deputy Commissioner of Lower Chitral, Rao Hashim Azim, welcomed the participants and wished them a safe and successful journey. He noted that such initiatives not only promote adventure tourism but also benefit the local economy, especially hotels and porters in the area.

He commended the efforts behind organizing the expedition and expressed hope that it would help attract both domestic and international tourists, further highlighting the natural beauty and tourism potential of Chitral and Tirich Mir.
