21 Killed, 97 Homes Damaged in KP, Balochistan: PDMA

Islamabad: The recent heavy rains in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan have resulted in significant loss of life and property.
According to reports from the Provincial Disaster Management Authorities (PDMA), the damage caused by the rains includes landslides, roof collapses, and structural damage to homes.
In Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, at least 21 people have lost their lives, with 37 others sustaining injuries in road and rain-related accidents.
The PDMA report indicates that landslides and roof collapses have affected various districts, resulting in partial or complete damage to 97 houses.
In Balochistan, three children have died and one person was injured due to heavy rain in Kharan.
Additionally, the rains have led to the destruction of 2 houses and partial damage to 5 others in the province.
These incidents underscore the importance of proactive measures to mitigate the impact of natural disasters and the need for efficient response and relief efforts by the authorities to assist affected communities in both provinces.
