21 Injured in Explosion in Texas

Islamabad: At least 21 persons were injured after an explosion rippled through the bottom floors of a hotel building in downtown Fort Worth, taexas, as reported in USA Today.
One of the injured persons was stated to be critical and four others also suffered serious injuries, according to Matt Zavadsky, MedStar spokesperson. He was speaking at a news briefing on Monday. The rest of the survivor had minor injuries, Zavadsky said.
Craig Trojacek, a spokesperson for the Fort Worth Fire Department, reported that the initial call regarding a fire at the Sandman Signature Fort Worth Downtown Hotel came in around 3:32 p.m. local time. Subsequent calls indicating an explosion followed soon after.
Trojacek later mentioned that the scent of gas permeated downtown Fort Worth, with investigators leaning towards the belief that the incident was a “some kind of gas explosion.”
Desiree Partain from MedStar, responsible for ambulance and emergency medical services in Fort Worth, noted that medics provided on-site treatment to four individuals but did not transport them to a hospital.
Trojacek explained that investigators, collaborating with federal counterparts, are actively determining the cause of the explosion. The situation made it challenging for rescue teams to promptly access certain parts of the building.
“We received reports of individuals trapped in the basement, and due to the explosion, some access points were either obstructed or deemed unsafe to navigate at that moment,” Trojacek stated.
