200 Wardens Deployed To Ensure Smooth Traffic Flow In Muree
News Desk
Rawalpindi: Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Taimoor Khan has ordered the additional deployment of 200 traffic wardens in Murree, a well-known tourist destination in Punjab, to address the escalating traffic situation.
Taimoor has emphasized the significance of utilizing all available resources to facilitate tourists visiting the area, acknowledging the difficulties faced by the weekend influx.
CTO has explicitly directed the DSP Traffic Murree to personally supervise the field operations and keep an eye on traffic conditions in order to ensure proper management of the traffic situation.
Any leniency will not be accepted under any circumstances since controlling traffic on all of Murree’s highways must remain the top priority, stated Taimoor. Traffic officials are working hard to ensure a continuous flow of traffic due to one-way and congested routes, he added.
Despite the heavy influx of traffic at Jhika Galichowk, the situation remains under control, and traffic continues to move smoothly.
Furthermore, to divert tourists from congested areas, a public address system has been put in place at GPO chowk, providing necessary guidance and alternative routes.
Taimoor Khan has emphasized the need for lifter and beat in-charge personnel to be vigilant during patrolling, ensuring the swift removal of illegally parked vehicles.
He has appealed to tourists to avoid double parking and improper parking practices.
Pamphlets emphasizing traffic rules and safety measures were being distributed among visitors, providing them with the necessary awareness and guidance.
