16 New Dengue Cases Surfaced In Pindi

Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi district’s total tally has reached 2,186 confirmed cases with the arrival of 16 more cases during the last 24 hours.

District Coordinator of Epidemics Prevention and Control (DCEPC) Dr Sajjad Mehmood said on Wednesday that among the new cases, ten patients have arrived from the Potohar town urban area, three from the Municipal Corporation area, and one each from the Potohar rural and Gujjar Khan areas.

The health department, in collaboration with allied departments, has issued 15 tickets and imposed a fine of Rs 157,000 on violations of dengue SOPs during the last 24 hours, stated Dr Mehmood.

Presently, 86 patients are admitted to different district health facilities, of which 60 are confirmed cases and 2,125 have been discharged after treatment.

Health Official further said that the District Health Authority (DHA) has lodged 14 FIRs and sealed two premises for violations of anti-dengue SOPs during the last 24 hours.
