16 New Corona Cases Reported Last Week: NIH

Islamabad: As many as 16 new Coronavirus cases were reported nationwide during the last week and the case positivity ratio is 0.61 percent, confirmed Health Officials.

As per the data shared by the National Institute of Health (NIH), no deaths were reported while two patients are in critical condition, and a total of 2,631 Covid-19 tests were conducted during the last week.

National Health Services Regulations and Coordination (NHSRC) official said that the government has reinforced the role of the Border Health Services Pakistan for the purpose of handling any Covid-19 sub-variants.

There is a surveillance system at all entry points of the country including airports. There will be rapid tests and screening of passengers at all airports, he added.

The official further said that 90 percent of the country’s population already got the Covid-19 vaccine.
