15 Al-Khwarij Militants Killed in KP Operations

Islamabad:At least 15 militants reportedly linked to the Indian-sponsored proxy network Al-Khwarij were killed in two seperate intelligence-based operations carried out by security forces in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on November 15 and 16, officials said on Sunday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the first operation was conducted in the Kulachi area of DI Khan following reports of militant presence. Security forces engaged the hideout, killing 10 militants, including their alleged ringleader, Alam Mehsud.

In a separate operation in Datta Khel, North Waziristan, troops tracked and neutralized five more militants associated with the group.

The statement added that sanitization operations were under way to clear the surrounding areas of any remaining threats.

Security forces and law enforcement agencies, the ISPR said, will continue the ongoing counterterrorism campaign under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” framework — approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan — to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
