Islamabad: The Islamabad district administration has rolled out a digital monitoring system to track petroleum stock at 145 petrol pumps across the city, a move aimed at enhancing transparency and ensuring uninterrupted fuel supply for residents.
Through the City Islamabad mobile application, authorities will now be able to access real-time data on fuel stocks and daily transactions at all participating petrol pumps.
Petrol pump owners are required to upload their daily inventory and sales details, allowing officials to quickly detect shortages and take corrective action.

Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Memon highlighted that the system not only facilitates rapid response to supply gaps but also ensures citizens have consistent access to fuel. “This initiative reflects our commitment to leveraging digital tools to improve public services,” he said.
To assist petrol pump owners, the administration has released a detailed tutorial explaining how to update stock records and record daily transactions on the app. Non-compliance may result in administrative action.
Officials emphasized that the digital system forms part of broader efforts to modernize supply monitoring and enhance governance.
By providing a real-time view of petroleum availability, authorities aim to maintain smooth operations at petrol pumps and prevent disruptions for consumers across Islamabad.
