14 Face Legal Action For Dengue SOP Non-Compliance

Rawalpindi: The District Health Authority (DHA) has lodged 14 FIRs (First Information Report), issued tickets to nine, sealed four premises, and imposed a fine of Rs 93,000 on violations of dengue SOPs during the last 24 hours.
With the arrival of 27 more cases during the last 24 hours, the district’s total tally has reached 2,217 confirmed cases, revealed District Coordinator of Epidemics Prevention and Control (DCEPC) Dr Sajjad Mehmood.
Among the new cases,13 cases have arrived from Potohar town urban, seven from Municipal Corporation, five from Rawalpindi Cantonment and two from Chaklala Cantonment area, stated Dr Mehmood.
Health Officer informed that presently, 93 patients are admitted to different health facilities in the district, of which 64 are confirmed cases and 2,152 were discharged after treatment.
During indoor surveillance, in the last 24 hours, the teams checked 18,488 houses and larvae were found in 647 homes. While checking 8,548 places, the teams found larvae at 100 sites during outdoor surveillance.
