11 New Dengue Cases in Punjab

Lahore: As many as 11 new dengue cases were reported in parts of Punjab on Thursday. The most recent data from the health department shows a total of 15,113 confirmed cases of dengue in Punjab this year. Lahore leads with 6,983 cases, followed by Rawalpindi with 2,654, Gujranwala with 1,590, Multan with 1,457, and Faisalabad with 914 cases.

The battle against fever persists, with Lahore seeing an additional seven cases and Multan reporting new cases within 24 hours.

Presently, 11 patients are receiving treatment in various Punjab hospitals, with three in Lahore hospitals specifically. Secretary Health Punjab, Ali Jaan Khan, issued a compelling plea for citizens to maintain clean, dry surroundings as a preventive measure against dengue fever. He also emphasized the need for cooperation with the health department teams tirelessly working to combat the spread.
