11 Fresh Corona Cases Reported in 24 Hours: NIH

Islamabad: As many as 11 new Coronavirus cases are reported nationwide during the last 24 hours. The case positivity rate is 0.36 percent and14 patients are in critical condition. As per the data shared by the National Institute of Health (NIH), no death is reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 3,085 Covid-19 tests are conducted nationwide.

National Health Services Regulations and Coordination (NHSRC) Minister Abdul Qadir Patel said that the government has reinforced the role of the Border and Health Services for the purpose of handling any Covid-19 sub-variants.

He informed that airports are included in the surveillance system which is present at all entry points of the country. There will be rapid testing and screening of passengers at all airports

Abdul Qadir urged people not to believe rumours and assured them that everything is under control. Corona case passivity ratio is merely 0.3 to 0.5 in the country while 90 percent of the populace have already got the Covid-19 vaccine, he added.

“Pakistan has a fully operational system with a qualified management team that is ready to prepare an emergency plan to handle any sub-variant of Covid-19 and to remain attentive,” the NHSRC minister added.

He stated that Border and Health Services Pakistan is responsible for ensuring the application of international health regulations. Qadir Patel claimed that the country’s health system is completely equipped to handle any sub-variant of the Omicron form of Covid-19, including BF.7, in the event of an unfortunate circumstance.
